Hockanum Valley is a local nonprofit human services agency located dedicated to meeting the needs of residents of Vernon and the Tolland County area. Job Description:

We are looking for an entry level, highly motivated individual to join our Content Creation Team! This new team member will produce high-quality content that contributes to the overall success of our clients. This role requires competent creative writing skills and attention to detail. Our ideal candidate possesses the ability to educate themselves on client’s products and services and then create optimized, engaging pieces of content to attract, educate, and drive leads from a target market. So, if you’re a team-spirited, skilled and imaginative writer with an eye for detail and a history of offering valuable insight, we’d like to meet you! Previous SEO/Social Media experience a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
  • Interpreting copywriting briefs to understand detailed project requirements
  • Conduct high-quality research to write attractive copy that uses SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach.
  • Understanding different language styles that appeal to various target markets.
  • Developing and maintaining a clear and consistent brand voice for clients across a variety of industries

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Past experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, HubSpot etc.)
  • Past experience building audiences either online or offline.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think to scale, and rely on data to make decisions.

Some key factors to help you create these personas are: success factors, buyer concerns, purchasing journey, decision criteria. 2. Choose Your Metrics Wisely
